Product Description: Traverse the Blue II recalls the early work of Robert Motherwell, the influential American Abstract Expressionist painter. The companion of Traverse the Blue 1, this abstract composition on paper provides the viewer with a sense of depth and dimension achieved by a dense slate blue backdrop that is punctuated by a wash of smokey white and an overlay of solid bone white. The embedded scraps of newsprint lend a bit of texture to the work.
